TVEMS Students Participated in Let's Move

Let's Move! In school is a national wellness campaign sponsored by Michelle Obama.  Let's Move! In School Flash Workout is for middle school students with a goal of educating them about health and fitness.  It is a pre-choreographed dance/exercise routine performed to the Beyonce song titled, "Move Your Body."  On May 3rd at 1:42 pm, students from across the nation danced the "Beyonce Bounce".   TVEMS students who are interested in continuing to move to the flash dance can practice by clicking the following link:   http://www.schooltube.com/user/letsmove

TVEMS Announces Partnership
with Schoolstore.com

 Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School has launched an exciting, new program called Schoolstore.com.  Schoolstore.com is an online shopping mall with over 200 participating merchants (including Cabela's, Sears, Target, Wal-mart, ToysRUs, East Bay, Family Book Store and more).  When Tucker Valley family, friends and community members make everyday purchases online, the school earns money.

It is simple:  anytime a supporter purchases something through a participating merchant (after easily logging in through the schoolstore.com website to make purchases), TVEMS automatically receives a percentage of the purchase price.  The program is simple and just takes a few easy clicks.

A tremendous advantage of this program is that it doesn't require buying anything that people don't already normally buy.  It's just one little extra stop at the schoolstore.com site along the way.  It's a wonderful way to support the school and invest money back into our community.

In addition to the financial benefits, it is also a fun program because students earn prizes along the way if purchases are made through the Family Book Store.  By sharing this information (via email) with friends, family and community members, students can earn prizes.

Here’s how to shop through Schoolstore.com to benefit TVEMS:

1.    Go to www.schoolstore.com
2.    A window will appear that asks for SCHOOL NAME.  Type in Tucker Valley and hit     enter.
3.    The next window will ask if Tucker Valley is the correct school.  Click ‘continue’ to go on.
4.    On the top of the next window, find the tab that reads “Merchants”.  Click on this to enter the merchant websites.  Find your merchant either with the images or the dropdown menu on the left side.
5.    From this point on, any shopping will directly benefit Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School.
